In early August, the terraced fields in Nam Cang hamlet, Thien Minh commune of Sa Pa town in northern mountainous province of Lao Cai, are gradually changing from green to yellow.
Sa Pa is always an attractive tourist destination at any time of the year: in winter, snow covers mountains and hills. In spring, peach and plum blossoms bloom everywhere. In summer, Sa Pa is a wonderful place to hide from the heat. In autumn, terraced fields are immersed in the brilliant gold of ripening rice.
The terraced rice fields are at foothills, stretching like a golden carpet.
Many young people from cities go to hamlets in Sa Pa town to see with their eyes the moment of "changing season" of the rice terraced fields.
These places are not too crowded with tourists, so they are both poetic and peaceful.
To see the ripening rice fields in Sa Pa, visitors have to go deeply into hamlets of Lao Chai, Ta Van, Ho, Thanh Phu, Nam Sai, Nam Cang, Den, or Y Linh Ho. One of the hamlets with many enchanting terraced fields is Ta Van hamlet.
The scene here is poetic like the image in a movie. Stand at any angle, raise the camera, you can also capture a wonderful moment.

Around September and October, Sa Pa will completely turn itself into the ripen rice season. This is considered the best time of the year there.
