On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day (September 2), on September 1, Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at House 67 in the Presidential Palace’s President Ho Chi Minh Relic.

Seventy five years ago, at the historic Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence that gave birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, an important historical document. The value of the document which expressed President Ho Chi Minh's thought, wisdom, soul, bravery and personality, remains original. Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong emphasized, “Our responsibility is to fulfill his will and successfully realize the Declaration of Independence - the first document of Vietnam known all over the world, to keep the country's independence and freedom, at any cost."
