Addressing the ceremony, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC Commission on Organization Pham Minh Chinh, stressed that the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union should continue to accelerate activities teaching revolutionary ideology, patriotism, national pride, cultural lifestyle and awareness among its members.

“This will help the members be consistent in following the road selected by the Party, Uncle Ho and nation,” he said. “Additionally, activities to care for the youth should be increased, especially those in support of their start-up, the development of their living skills, and an increase in their physical and spiritual conditions.”

According to the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, during the 2018 Youth Month, the organization will organize activities promoting the youth’s creativity, including the movement “Each youth with an idea of creativity”, the establishment of the Vietnamese bank for creative ideas, and the contest on youth’s initiatives on community development in terms of reproductive health, healthcare, education and employment.

In particular, support will be provided for the youth’s start-ups by giving them consultancy, training, knowledge and skills; their application of software on market development; and support for rural youth in application of hi-tech into production.

On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union encouraged the youth across the country to actively join the annually held tree planting festival which shows the Vietnamese youth’s responsibility in protecting the environment and coping with climate change./.
