On November 14th, Politburo member and Secretary of HCM city Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan hosted President of the Hessen State Parliament Boris Rhein.

At the reception, Mr. Nhan expressed his pleasure to see that the Vietnam - Germany strategic partnership is increasingly active, effective and comprehensive. In particular, the cooperation between HCM city and Hesse is developing strongly in the fields of economy, trade and education investment.
Currently, Germany has 151 projects in the city with a total capital of nearly USD286 million, ranking 13th among 106 countries and territories investing in the city.
He expressed his belief that the city and Hesse have great potential for cooperation in areas of finance, high technology, infrastructure development, urban management, healthcare and education.
He hoped that Hessen State would continue to promote cooperation, support the city to offer vocational training for human resources, including the training of health workers for the elderly according to German standards.
Rhein, for his part, affirmed Hessen state always considers HCM city one of its close friends in Vietnam and wishes to continue stepping up the ties between the two localities, particularly in the fields of Hessen’s strength and HCM city’s demand like high technology, infrastructure development and education-training, thus contributing to developing the Germany - Vietnam Strategic Partnership.
He thanked the city authorities for facilitating the construction and development of the Vietnam - Germany University in Vietnam./.
