The system includes 24 solar panels installed on the roof, with an installed capacity of more than 10kWp, producing 40kWh per day with a total value of VND250 million.

This is the 4th solar power construction that EVNCPC, VOV and relevant agencies built for 4 schools in Quang Ngai, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak, using a total capital of VND1 billion.

EVNCPC Deputy General Director Nguyen Thanh said that the constructions not only help the school reduce monthly power fees but also encourage teachers and pupils to raise awareness about using the power economically, and enhance clean and renewable energy.

In particular, the construction of solar energy systems in island and remote areas that have difficult economic circumstances holds great significance in improving education quality.

On the same day, in realization of the program “Love for central region”, VOV trade union and Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union presented VND100 million to build houses for disadvantaged families on Ly Son Island. Additionally, the Quang Ngai Power Company presented 20 presents worth VND600,000 to poor pupils on the island.

The program, launched by VOV since late October, has received over VND13 billion in cash and goods from organizations, individuals and businesses./.
