Vietnam wins four medals at 2018 International Chemistry Olympiad

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, all four members of the Vietnamese team that participated in the 50th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO 2018) have earned medals, including one gold, two silver and one bronze medals.

The gold medal went to Pham Duc Anh from the High School for the Gifted under University of Science, VNU-Hanoi.

Meanwhile, Nguyen Van Chi Nguyen from Lam Son High School for the Gifted Students in Thanh Hoa province and Hoang Thanh Tung from Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted in Nam Dinh province, brought home silver medals.

Phan Nhat Duat from Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted Students in Nghe An province won the bronze medal.

The Olympiad was held in the Slovakia Republic and the Czech Republic from July 19th to 29th with the participation of 304 candidates from 82 countries and territories worldwide.

The Ministry of Education and Training welcomed and congratulated the delegation at Noi Bai airport on July 30th./.
