Vietnam wins two golds at 2019 International Chemistry Olympiad

The Ministry of Education and Training announced that all members of Vietnamese team that participated in the 2019 International Chemistry Olympiad won medals, including two golds and two silvers.

The gold medal went to Tran Ba Tan from Hanoi - Amsterdam high school for the gifted and Nguyen Van Chi Nguyen from Lam Son high school for the gifted in Thanh Hoa province.

Meanwhile, Nguyen Dinh Hoang from Nguyen Tat Thanh high school for the gifted in the northern mountainous province of Yen Bai and Pham Thanh Lam from Le Hong Phong high school for the gifted in the northern province of Nam Dinh secured silvers.

The 51st International Chemistry Olympiad France lured more than 300 contestants from 80 countries and territories.

With the achievements of two golds and two silvers, the Vietnamese team ranked fifth after China, the Republic of Korea, Russia and US.

The Ministry of Education and Training will welcome the delegation at Noi Bai International Airport at 06h30 on July 31st./.
