(CPV) - The Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group (Viettel) said it has operated two innovation labs equipped with the most modern 4.0 technology in Southeast Asia, based in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Thus, Viettel becomes the 23rd telecommunications provider in the world simultaneously developing both network and Lab on 5G and IoT.
Not only converging many of the most advanced development tools of the world’s leading companies such as Qualcomm, Ericsson and Intel, many devices are currently only available at Viettel Innovation Lab, such as robotics application development kits integrating 5G and AI, 5G drone flight application with deep learning, and edge computing AI box development kit.
According to the Global System for Mobile Communications Association, the Viettel Innovation Labs reach the highest standard of an international-standard lab, including connectivity infrastructure, development kit sets and app development environment with servers and platforms.
As open labs, Viettel allows IT firms, scientists and students with good solutions to use all of their equipment for free.
Colonel Tao Duc Thang, Deputy General Director of Viettel Group, said Viettel Innovation Lab will be a place to incubate and nurture ideas on new technologies, connect the community, and build a technology application ecosystem 4.0, promoting digital transformation in Vietnam. At the same time, it will act as a bridge between domestic and foreign technology circles to share knowledge and cooperate on 4.0 technology, thereby forming excellent technological human resources for the country./.
