“ATM: Donate Blood to Save Lives” to be launched

The Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association Central Committee, in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Hospital of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, will launch a program "ATM: Donate Blood to Save Lives" from September 28 to October 7 in response to the call for voluntary blood donation of the National Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization.

Currently, the COVID-19 pandemic continues developing complicatedly in most localities in Vietnam with thousands of new cases every day. The emergency work of saving patients' lives faces many difficulties and dangers; patients’ lives are seriously threatened because of a blood bank shortage.

Accordingly, the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association calls on the young business community, member businesses, especially member businesses of the Young Entrepreneurs Association based in Ho Chi Minh City, to mobilize officials and employees of their businesses to register to donate blood voluntarily.

The program is expected to be implemented with a maximum reception of 150 people per day. Volunteers register to donate blood at the link: https://forms.gle/EUvXF92bnUQUdE2T7.

Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Federation, Chairman of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association Central Committee Dang Hong Anh shared that the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association Central Committee hoped that the program will initially mobilize 1,500 volunteers to register to donate blood, contributing to providing Ho Chi Minh City enough blood for emergency and treatment for patients, as well as have enough blood for reservation during the pandemic.

Right after the launch, Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank) pioneered to register 300 volunteers who are officials and staff of the bank to voluntarily donate blood./.
