The second week of the online contest studying Uncle Ho with Thanh Hoa Province and Thanh Hoa Province obeying Uncle Ho’s teachings, which ended on January 17, attracted 125,024 participants with 326,500 entries.
According to the organizing committee, among the participants, there were 79,014 pupils, 17,416 teachers, 219 people from outside the province and 80 overseas Vietnamese.
As a result, the committee awarded one first prize worth VND3 million; 2 second prizes worth VND2 million each; 3 third prizes worth VND1 million each; and 5 consolation prizes worth VND500,000 each.
The contest, which is being organized from from January 3 to February 14 by the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, aims to mark the 75th year since Uncle Ho’s first visit to the province.
The purpose of the contest is to review the traditions, to inscribe the sacred feelings and deep concern of the Party and the beloved Uncle Ho for the Party Committee and the people of Thanh Hoa Province; and to express gratitude for the great merits of President Ho Chi Minh, the Party, generations of cadres, Party members and the people who have strived for the revolutionary cause of the homeland.
At the same time, the contest highlights the achievements that the Provincial Party Committee and people have achieved in the past 75 years following Uncle Ho's teachings, thus continuing to arouse the excitement, trust and pride of cadres, Party members, armed forces soldiers, union members, pupils, students and all classes of people in the province in determining to emulate and follow Uncle Ho's thought, morality and style, focusing on promoting self-reliance and aspiration to build and develop Thanh Hoa to become a new pole of growth in the North of the country by 2025; and an industrial province in the direction of modernity, striving to build Thanh Hoa into a model province by 2030./.
