The Dong Nai People’s Committee on May 19 launched the tree planting festival to express eternal gratitude to Uncle Ho and respond to the program of planting 1 billion trees for a green Vietnam.

Deputy Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee Vo Van Phi said that in response to the program of 1 billion trees, Dong Nai built a plan to plant 20 million green trees in 2021-2025 in order to contribute to protecting the eco-environment and improving the locality’s landscape.
He asked all levels, branches, localities, agencies and units to continue to deeply grasp the important meaning of this program and the launch of the Tree Planting Festival will begin the realization of the goal of planting 20 million trees in the 2021-2025 period.
Mr. Huynh Tan Loc, Deputy Chairman of the Bien Hoa City People’s Committee, said that the city maintained the movement of planting trees and protecting the environment to respond to the Tree Planting Festival. So far, the city has had more than 1.3 hectares of green trees, contributing to the protection of the ecological environment in the industrial city.
At the ceremony, the provincial People's Committee, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Industrial Park Management Board, and the Provincial Forest Protection Department presented forestry seedlings and instructed tree planting and care techniques to Bien Hoa City, Long Khanh City, Nhon Trach district and Dong Nai Youth Union.
At the same time, contracts were signed between localities and businesses to accompany the province’s program of planting 20 million trees./.
