Dong Thap assists Cambodian province in COVID-19 prevention

Accordingly, the Dong Thap provincial Border Guard High Command presented VND180 million to support the Cambodian forces in fighting COVID-19.

At the presenting ceremony, Colonel Le Van Luan, Commander of the Dong Thap provincial Border Guard Headquarters, said that during the complex development of the COVID-19 pandemic, within the traditional friendship of neighbors, the presents would help Prey Veng border forces reduce difficulties in fighting COVID-19 and coordinate with the Vietnamese side in increasing border patrol, control and protection.

On behalf of the border guard force in Prey Veng province, Lieutenant General Moeun Samon and Major General Chhoun Kimsan appreciated the good affection, attention, and valuable and practical help of Dong Thap Border Guard Command to the border guard forces of Prey Veng province in COVID-19 prevention. “This is not only material support but also a great source of spiritual encouragement to help the border guard force in Prey Veng  province perform well the task of preventing and fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

On this occasion, the two sides exchanged information about the situation of border protection, management, and prevention and control of COVID-19 in each party, while they agreed to strengthen cooperation and sharing information together in order to fulfill the task of managing and protecting the border and preventing and fighting against COVID-19, preventing the epidemic from spreading across the border./.
