Eight people dead or missing due to flooding

According to an early report on September 13th of the National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, heavy rain and flooding from September 9th to 12th caused serious damage to people and property. Eight people were left dead or missing. 95 houses were damaged. 1,516 hectares of rice were affected.

In the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang, flooding and landslides occurred in some locations on national and provincial roads and inter-district and commune roads in Yen Minh and Dong Van districts. Two bridges were damged.
While many roads in the northern mountainous province of Thai Nguyen were flooded and divided in districts of Vo Nhai, Phu Luong and Dinh Hoa.
In response to natural disasters, the National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control asked localities continue to implement measures to overcome the consequences and search for missing people./.
