COVID-19 Vaccine Fund receives more than VND8.5 trillion

EuroCham launches the “Breathe Again” fund.

The fund will be encouraged from EuroCham member businesses, in the context of the high number of known cases in Vietnam.

EuroCham will be the coordinator and campaign manager of the fund, taking advantage of its large and diverse member network, with more than a thousand businesses and investors in all industries, in order to ensure mobilization of the largest possible fund.

Companies or individuals can contribute to the fund at breathe.again.fund@eurochamvn.org

All funds raised during the campaign will be used to purchase European medical equipment and supplies for hospitals in Vietnam’s hardest-hit areas.

According to EuroCham President Alain Cany the European business community is determined to accompany Vietnam during this difficult time. The current outbreak is placing unprecedented pressure on hospitals, medical facilities and medical staff.

Expressing his belief that the Government of Vietnam will repeat the successful pandemic control seen in the previous waves, he said he hoped that EuroCham's initiative will help support medical staff, frontline health workers and patients who need it most.

EU Ambassador to Vietnam Giorgio Aliberti added that he was proud that European businesses have been actively supporting Vietnam during the 4th wave of the pandemic.

With a large and long-term presence in Vietnam, he called on European businesses and citizens to contribute all possible resources to this important initiative, asserting that they will make a real difference./.
