During the meeting, Deputy Head of the city Department of Health Hoang Duc Hanh noted that over the past week, Hanoi reported one COVID-19 case who is an Israeli expert returning from Qatar. The patient is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

Notably, during his isolation in a hotel in Hanoi, 2 hotel staff had close contact with him and became his F1. They were then tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 virus and are now being monitored at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

Under the city’s official dispatch, the city People’s Committee has requested the compulsory wearing of face masks in public transport vehicles and public places. “This is a key preventive measure at present; if the city reports one single case, it will have a significant bad impact on socio-economic development,” said Deputy Chairman Quy.

The city has decided to set up 5 delegations to inspect pandemic prevention across 30 localities.

According to Deputy Chairman Quy, it was also necessary to strictly manage immigrated persons./.
