The Hanoi Electricity Corporation (EVNHANOI) has announced that, as of September 30, the total amount of electricity fee reduction was VND1.85 trillion in 4 periods affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

A representative of EVNHANOI said that in the past time, EVNHANOI has made a public listing of the policy to support electricity price reduction and electricity bill reduction at transaction locations, on the website of the corporation and its units. In addition, the Corporation also reported to the Hanoi People's Committee and closely coordinated with local authorities to review and correct information about customers who are supported to reduce electricity prices and bills; instructing customers to enjoy the policy.
The first electricity price reduction applies to production and business customers, household customers, customers who are tourist accommodation establishments, rural electricity wholesalers, and residential electricity wholesalers, residential clusters, wholesale for commercial complexes, services, daily life, wholesale electricity for markets, industrial parks, tourist accommodation establishments, facilities for COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control. The number of customers entitled to a reduction in electricity bills and the first phase of electricity price reduction is more than 2.5 million with a total amount of pre-tax reduction of more than VND891.3 billion.
The second phase benefits over 2.3 million customers with over VND368.2 billion who use electricity for daily life, wholesale electricity customers, tourist accommodation establishments, customers who have warehouses to store goods in the process of circulation, and facilities for the prevention and control of COVID-19.
As of September 30, the total number of customers supported with reduced electricity prices and reduced electricity bills in the 3rd and 4th phases was more than 2.3 million, with a total capital of more than VND591 billion./.
