Hanoi spends VND6 trillion supporting COVID-19-affected people

According to the Hanoi Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, since the beginning of July, authorized agencies have approved VND6.012 trillion to support over 5.12 million people, workers, establishment owners, and households affected by COVID-19. Families in the city affected by the COVID-19 pandemic have reached VND 6,012 billion.

In terms of the Government's VND26 trillion package, up to now, more than 1.96 million workers, employers and business households have received support to overcome difficulties. Of which, over 1.42 million labourers enjoyed support worth nearly VND245 billion. Nearly 80,000 employees received support worth VND225 billion for those who take unpaid leave. Notably, the policy to support workers without labor contracts (freelance workers) has helped more than 427,000 people access benefits amounting to more than VND641 billion.

Regarding the support package from the Unemployment Insurance Fund for employees participating in unemployment insurance, the whole city has supported nearly 1.62 million beneficiaries with an amount of more than VND3.929 trillion.

The city's specific support policies reach nearly 1.6 million people and workers, mainly poor, near-poor households, social beneficiaries, and labourers working in business households./.
