Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee issued an official dispatch on September 6 on increasing measures to control the pandemic for boosting socio-economic development, in which Hanoi targets to control the pandemic ahead of September 15.

Accordingly, 100% of residents will be tested for SARS-COV-2, while 100% of residents at age 18 or more will receive the first vaccine shot ahead of September 15. The city will also administer 2nd dose for those who have had 1st injection for the prescribed time; giving special priority and attention to frontline health workers, the elderly, cases with underlying medical conditions, pregnant women, and accelerating the increase in vaccination coverage.

In high risk areas, Hanoi continues to strictly implement social distancing by applying serious measures and asking residents to stay at home.

In low-risk areas, production and business activities will be maintained in places where safety conditions are met; step by step restoring and boosting production in areas where social distancing ends, ensuring safety and strictly complying with regulations on epidemic prevention and control in industrial parks, production and business establishments, continuing to implement measures to remove difficulties and support production and business in accordance with the law.

The city is also striving to ensure smooth transportation and circulation of goods and pay attention to socio-economic fields and other important activities in the area, especially in communes, wards and townships; provide prompt medical services to people; and ensure social security./.
