Ho Chi Minh City receives medical equipment for COVID-19 prevention

The AS-TK Vietnam High-Tech Joint Stock Company (AS-TK VN) on August 22 presented medical equipment to the Ho Chi Minh City Fund for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, which included 1.5 million medical masks, 150,000 N95 masks and 30,000 sets of medical protective equipment.

Handing over the equipment to the City Fatherland Front, Mr. Vo Minh Hieu, Chairman of Company Trade Union, said that in addition to this medical equipment, the company intends to donate 500,000 doses of Nano Covax vaccine to the city when the vaccine is officially licensed by the Ministry of Health.

According to Mr. Vo Minh Hieu, this is a practical action of the officers and employees of AS-TK VN Company who wish to contribute efforts and join hands with the city in the fight against COVID-19, contributing to preventing and repelling the COVID-19 epidemic, and bringing the city's life back to normal soon.

On behalf of the city's leaders, Ms. To Thi Bich Chau, Chairwoman of the City Fatherland Front, expressed her thanks for the contributions of businesses and benefactors in the city, as well as the whole community, pledging that all the equipment will be quickly delivered to the frontline forces and COVID-19 patients in a timely manner.

Noting that Ho Chi Minh City has developed a plan to strengthen the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic with the determination to control it by September 15, Ms Chau added that ensuring the vaccination rate against COVID-19 has a decisive meaning in the COVID-19 prevention and control strategy in the city./.
