Ho Chi Minh City spends over VND1 trillion for people’s Tet

Ho Chi Minh City spent VND1.025 billion caring for people over Tet, said Vo Van Hoan, Deputy Chairman of the City People’s Committee, during an online meeting to review work during Tet, on February 18.

Accordingly, despite the difficult circumstances caused by COVID-19, Ho Chi Minh City has strived to improve the material and spiritual lives of 700,000 beneficiaries, poor and nearly poor families, and disadvantaged children.

According to Deputy Chairman Vo Van Hoan, the city sent 13 delegations to present Tet gifts to people in 35 provinces and cities affected by natural disasters.

“A majority of people welcomed Tet following strict regulations on preventing COVID-19,” Deputy Chairman Hoan added./.
