Ho Chi Minh City Union of Trading Cooperatives express gratitude to frontline doctors

The Ho Chi Minh City Union of Trading Cooperatives (Saigon Co.op) has presented medical supplies and some essential items to the representative of the No. 14 Field Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City to contribute to encouraging and sharing the difficulties and hardships of medical forces and doctors on the frontlines against the COVID-19 epidemic.

 The donated items include anti-epidemic protective clothing, hand sanitizer products and masks of all kinds, with a total value of 110 million VND, which is deducted from sales of moon cakes at Co.opmart and Co.opXtra supermarkets system.

Director of the Co.opmart Operations Division Nguyen Ngoc Thang said that through the program, Saigon Co.op would like to express its gratitude to frontline doctors and nurses who have made great contributions to the city’s epidemic prevention and control work.

The 14 Field Hospital is one of the last-line centers in the COVID-19 patient treatment model in Ho Chi Minh City, with the function of collecting, giving emergency aid, and treating severe and critical patients.

Doctor Ha Hieu Trung, Deputy Director of the Hospital, said that the hospital will continue to maintain operations to treat COVID-19 patients in the near future.

A representative of Saigon Co.op said that from now until the end of the 2022 Lunar New Year, on average, every 2 weeks, Co.opmart, Co.opXtra, Co.op Food, Co.op Smile, Cheers and HTVCo.op supermarkets, will simultaneously conduct promotions and discounts to ease the difficulties of consumers. At the same time, it will continue to organize more activities aimed at the frontline forces, workers in difficulty and people with unlucky situations in life./.
