Mr. Le Vinh Tan, PCC member, Minister of Home Affairs, and Standing Deputy Head of the Central Council for Emulation and Commendation, attended and directed the congress.
According to the ministry, commendation work still shows formal expression at some units. The above shortcoming is due to leaders of the units and individuals not paying attention to emulation movements; popularizing, studying and carrying out regulations on emulation and commendation have not been regular and continuous.
However, over the past 5 years, the patriotic emulation movement has achieved many positive results.
The highlight is the movement “the whole country joins forces to build new-style rural areas”, in which many training courses were opened for communal officials and civil servants.
In addition, there was a special emulation movement to make achievements to celebrate the 70th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh calling for patriotic emulation (June 11, 1948).
In his speech at the event, Minister Le Vinh Tan believed that with the good traditions of the ministry, more advanced examples and good deeds will appear in the near future. From that, emulation movements will spread and become practical and effective; contributing to fulfilling political tasks of the central, government and Prime Minister.
On this occasion, the Minister presented the Government leader’s certificate of merit to one team and two individuals for excellent achievements in their tasks./.
