Mr. Dang Xuan Phong elected Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee

At the meeting, the Executive Board of the 16^th Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee elected the Standing Board of the 16^th Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, including 15 members. Mr. Dang Xuan Phong, Deputy Secretary of the 15^th Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee, was elected as the Secretary of the 16^th Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term with 100% of the votes.

Mr. Dang Xuan Phong was born in 1972 from Tien Lu commune, Lap Thach district, Vinh Phuc province. He is a Doctor of economics. He has held the following positions: Head of General Department under Lao Cai province’s Department of Planning and Investment; Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Lao Cai province; Vice Chairman of the Lao Cai City People's Committee; Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Lao Cai province; Secretary of the Bac Ha District Party Committee; Vice Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee.

At the meeting, Mr. Vu Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, and Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, were elected as Deputy Secretaries of the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term. The Executive Board of the 16^th Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee also elected the Provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Inspection, including 11 members and Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc was elected as Chairman of the commission for the 2020-2025 term.

Previously, the 16th Lao Cai Provincial Party Congress elected the Executive Board of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, including 50 members./.
