Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van, Secretary of the 19th Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, was re-elected as the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term with 100% of votes.
Ms. Van was born in 1974 and lives in Tran Phu ward, Quang Ngai city of Quang Ngai province. She holds a Bachelor of Literature.
On April 18, 2019, at the 15th meeting of the Executive Board of the 19th Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee, Ms. Van was elected as Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term.
On August 4, 2020, she was elected as the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term and Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council.
So far, she is the first woman of Quang Ngai province to hold the two positions of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council.
At the congress, Mr. Dang Ngoc Huy, Standing Deputy Secretary of the 19th Provincial Party Committee, and Mr. Dang Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the 19th Provincial Party Committee, were re-elected as Deputy Secretaries of the 20th Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
The Executive Board of the Provincial Party Committee also elected 13 people to the Standing Board and 11 people to the Inspection Commission of the 20th Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
Mr. Vo Van Quynh, Chairman of the 19th Provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Commission, was re-elected as the Chairman of the 20th Provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Commission for the 2020-2025 term.
In the afternoon of October 21, the 20th Quang Ngai Provincial Party Congress elected 51 members to the Executive Board of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, including 7 female members, who account for 13.7 percent.
