Nearly VND3.5 trillion in support and registration of support for COVID-19 fight

The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee on June 1 continued to receive assistance from collectives and individuals for the fight against COVID-19.

It included VND450 million from Vietnam News Agency; over VND131 million from the Association of Overseas Vietnamese in Macau (China); VND436 million from the Ministry of Home Affairs; VND300 million from a Buddhist association; VND69 million from the Pros Vietnam Technology Co., Ltd.; VND1 billion from the Ministry of Finance; VND50 million from the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc; and VND26 million from the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Phan Dinh Phung High School in Hanoi.

Receiving the assistance, VFF Vice President Ngo Sach Thuc expressed sincere thanks for the noble sentiments and gestures of agencies, units, organizations, individuals, and benefactors at home and abroad for promptly sharing and contributing resources to join hands with the Party and State in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Mr. Thuc, since May 1, the amount of money donated for the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic through the VFF and the Ministry of Health has been nearly VND3.5 trillion.

The VFF will promptly allocate this assistance to the COVID-19 vaccine fund; to support the purchase of ventilators and medical equipment for pandemic prevention; give financial support for frontline locations, isolated areas and treatment foundations of COVID-19 patients; and support COVID-19 affected families./.
