Northern locality set to become modern industrial province by 2030

The 17th Hai Duong northern provincial Party Congress term 2020-2025 which is taking place from October 25-27 puts forth breakthrough steps for the province’s development, including giving priority to traffic infrastructure, improving investment environment and increasing the quality of human resources.

“Over the past 5 years, Hai Duong province has undergone great socio-economic progress,” Nguyen Manh Hien, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, said at the congress. “The provincial Party Congress term 2020-2025 will open up firm leadership to help the province to become a modern industrial province by 2030, creating a foundation for the province to become a centrally-governed city.”
Hai Duong has also set out specific targets for the 2020-2025 term. Accordingly, the GRDP per capita by 2025 is expected to reach VND115 million, and VND200 million by 2030, with the economic structure by 2025 of 8% in agriculture, forestry and fisheries, industry - construction of 61.5%, and service of 30.5%.
To realize the target, Hai Duong province will strongly improve the business investment environment and attract large enterprises to invest in the province, as well as focus on supporting the development of small and medium-sized enterprises and innovative digital technology businesses.
In addition, it will also mobilize resources to develop synchronous and modern infrastructure; and prioritize investment in the construction of key traffic works, digital infrastructure, smart cities and a model new countryside./.
