The Inspection and Supervision Team of the Standing Board of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee worked at Son La province on March 24 to check the election of deputies of the 15th National Assembly (NA) and People’s Council in the 2021-2026 term.
The Party Committees and authorities of Son La have actively led and directed the election of deputies of the 15th NA and People’s Councils at all levels in the 2021-2026 term.
The establishment of groups in charge of elections in Son La ensured the correct number, structure, composition and time, as prescribed by law.
As of March 18, the Standing Board of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La completed the second consultative conference to agree on the preliminary list of candidates for 15th NA and People’s Council at all levels in the 2021-2026 term. The province has 11 candidates for the 15th NA, running to fill 7 elected positions.
It has 122 candidates for the provincial People’s Council to fill 65 deputy seats; 765 candidates for People’s Council at district level to fill 405 deputy seats, and 8,707 candidates for People’s Council at communal level with 4,604 deputy seats to be filled.
At the meeting, on behalf of the delegation, Vice President Truong Thi Ngoc Anh recognized and highly hailed the results of implementing the tasks of the election in Son La.
She urged the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La to focus on directing and guiding the Standing Board of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at district and communes to prepare and well organize meetings with voters./.
