Vice State President encourages emulation movements in Lang Son

The Lang Son People’s Committee on September 8th held the 5th Patriotic Emulation Congress (term 2020-2025). Ms. Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, PCC member, Vice State President and First Vice President of the Central Council for Emulation and Commendation (CCEC), attended and directed the event.

In her speech at the event, Vice State President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh was pleased with the results of the Party Committee, authorities and people of Lang Son in the 2015-2020 period, especially with 18 out of 20 criteria being fulfilled and the border economy continuing to develop.

She urged the northern mountainous province to continue thoroughly grasping guidelines and policies of the Party and State, implementing Directive 05 of the Politburo in association with the responsibility of Party Committees. 

The province also kept intensifying and carrying out patriotic emulation movements with the motto of each branch being a solid nucleus and party members being leaders of emulation movements. At the same time, Lang Son focuses on building a transparent, firm and strong Party Committee; improving the efficiency of state management and mobilizing maximum resources to invest in the border economy. 

The Vice President noted that all levels and branches of Lang Son should focus on overcoming limitations in emulation and commendation, and selecting teams and individuals for timely praise and commendation.

At the congress, Ms. Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh awarded VND 600 million to the social security program of Lang Son.

To launch emulation movements for the 2020-2025 period, Deputy Chairman of the Lang Son People’s Committee Duong Xuan Huyen stressed that the locality focused on strengthening, popularizing and thoroughly grasping guidelines and policies of the Party and laws of the State on emulation and commendation. 

It strives to achieve an average GRDP growth rate of 8-8.5% a year, per capita GRDP of USD2,100-2,300 by 2025 and 115 new-style rural communes by 2025. 

On this occasion, 16 teams and 24 typical individuals received second-class and third-class Labor Medals of State President, Emulation Flags and Certificates of Merit of the Prime Minister and Government for outstanding achievements in patriotic emulation./.
