This is the first comprehensive and systematic campaign on gender equality in the workplace and economic rights development of women in Vietnam, supported by Vietnam Business Coalition for Women's Empowerment (VBCWE).

Ms. Le Thanh Hang, VBCWE CEO said that in Vietnam, the proportion of women with university degrees is the same as men, and up to 70% of women participate in the workforce. Senior management positions held by Vietnamese women account for 27%, higher than the world average.

However, it is a fact that female workers are concentrated in occupations with lower income and positions.

According to the World Bank Group's report, the World Economic Forum ranked Vietnam's gender equality 87 out of 153 countries surveyed in the world in terms of narrowing the gender gap.

With the gender inequality in the workplace in Vietnam, the "Career has no gender" campaign was initiated to drastically change awareness and perceptions of gender equality among business owners, as well as the community, in order to provide a happy working environment.

Under the campaign, there will be many diverse activities, including talks to promote gender equality in businesses and at working places, and a series of talk shows by experts in the fields of information technology, textiles, banking, finance and real estate.

The activities are aimed at promoting women's economic empowerment, consulting policies on building corporate culture and equal values in business, and creating a sustainable development environment./.
