Vietnam surpasses 160 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine

As of January 9, Vietnam injected 160,033,187 doses of COVID-19 vaccine. Therefore, in the past 8 days, the whole country has administered about 10 million doses of vaccine, according to statistics from the COVID-19 vaccination portal.

As of January 7, the number of injections for people aged 18 and over was 144,132,993 doses, including 70,254,466 being the 1st dose; 64,814,022 being the second dose; 1,258,496 being the third dose (for Abdala vaccine).

So far, 57 provinces and cities have implemented the third dose with a total of nearly 7.9 million doses; in which the southern provinces reported the largest number of third injections, followed by the northern and central regions.

The coverage rate of at least 1 dose of vaccine is 99.8% and the rate of basic full dose vaccination is 92.1% of the population aged 18 years or older.

For children aged 12-17, the Ministry of Health's report shows that provinces and cities have administered 13,607,564 doses, including 7,892,217 for the first doses and 5,715,347 for the second dose.

The 29 provinces and cities that have essentially completed the basic dose for this age group are: Hanoi, Hai Phong, Ha Nam, Ninh Binh, Bac Ninh, Quang Ninh, Hoa Binh, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Dak Nong, Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria Vung Tau, Tien Giang, Long An, Tay Ninh, An Giang, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh, Vinh Long, Binh Phuoc, Ca Mau, Bac Lieu and Hau Giang./.
