VND370 billion in support of natural disaster-affected localities

The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee on January 6 received over VND388 million from the Shipbuilding Industry Corporation and VND55 million from the Academy of Politics Region 1 to support central localities affected by natural disasters.

The assistance helped bring the total support for central localities through the VFF to over VND370 billion so far.
During the receiving ceremony, VFF Vice President Truong Thi Ngoc Anh noted that all the donated money had been allocated to the residents.
According to VFF, its branches at localities have urgently distributed the resources to the residents. Of which, the Quang Ngai provincial Fatherland Front has allocated over VND26 billion to people affected by storm No. 9.
The Binh Duong provincial rescue fund has promptly given assistance to residents in the Mekong River Delta localities, central localities and workers’ families with VND22.4 billion.
In Khanh Hoa province, over VND5.7 billion has been spent supporting natural disaster-affected localities./.
