Households with completely collapsed or swept away houses in recent floods and storms will be assisted with VND40 million at maximum each, while those with seriously damaged houses will be assisted with VND10 million at maximum each.

This is part of the Government’s Resolution 165/NQ-CP dated November 5 on giving capital for overcoming serious housing losses to residents affected by natural disasters in October in some central and Central Highlands localities.
Accordingly, the natural disaster-hit localities of Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Gia Lai and Kon Tum will benefit from the assistance for promptly stabilizing residents’ lives and ensuring social order.
Under the resolution, localities will be responsible for using their budget and mobilizing capital from other legal resources to add more assistance for the residents./.
