Working sessions on anti-corruption in Hau Giang and Can Tho

A delegation from the Central Steering Committee on Anti-corruption has had working sessions with the Standing Board of Hau Giang provincial Party Committee and Can Tho city Party Committee.

The delegation was led by 12th PCC member, Standing Deputy Head of the PCC Commission of Internal Affairs and member of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-corruption, Vo Van Dung.

At the working session with the Standing Board of Hau Giang provincial Party Committee, Mr. Dung said Hau Giang province had made great efforts and obtained achievements in economic development, hunger eradication and poverty alleviation, investment attraction and exploitation of agricultural strengths. This helped to strengthen national defence, ensure security and achieve outstanding results in anti-corruption.

The Standing Deputy Head of the PCC Commission of Internal Affairs asked the province to uphold good experiences, overcome limitations, continue to thoroughly grasp the Party's guidelines and policies on building and regulating the Party, thus strengthening the unity of cadres and party members, and drawing out new guidelines and views of the Party to thoroughly grasp. In particular, it is necessary to provide information about the Party and State’s determination on anti-corruption.

12th PCC member and Secretary of Hau Giang provincial Party Committee Lu Van Hung received the delegation’s opinions and asked relevant agencies and units to promote achievements and overcome shortcomings to make the corruption and waste prevention efforts effective.

He expressed his desires that the PCC Commission of Internal Affairs would monitor and guide to help the province in corruption and waste prevention.

At the working session with Can Tho city Party Committee, members of the delegation and leaders of departments and localities discussed advantages, limitations and experiences in anti-corruption in the city over the past time.

Mr. Dung appreciated the results of anti-corruption work in Can Tho city. In particular, it took care of the thorough grasping, implementation and concretization of the Party and the State’s guidelines on anti-corruption.

Apart from pointing out a number of limitations in anti-corruption, he also asked the city to continue seriously implementing the Party's resolutions on party building and ratification association with promoting the studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s examples in ideology, ethics and lifestyle and the Party’s policies on anti-corruption./.
