Co To Half Marathon 2022 is the first race to take place on the famous island in the northern province of Quang Ninh to stimulate tourism demand after a long time being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Quang Ninh to organize Co To Half Marathon 2022 for first time
The Co To Half Marathon 2022 will be held on April 23 at Co To Island (Quang Ninh) with a special route through the forest and along the long coastline, embracing the island’s wild character.
The running route of the tournament passes through famous tourist attractions such as Van Chay Beach, Truong Xuan Lake, and Hong Van Beach.
The starting and ending point is at Uncle Ho Monument Square, the first and only place where Uncle Ho allowed a statue of himself to be erected while he was still alive.
The Co To Half Marathon 2022 includes three distances of 5km, 10km and 21km, suitable for more than 500 people to participate.
The tournament was jointly organized by the Quang Ninh Youth Union, Department of Culture and Sports, the Co To district People's Committee, 5S Public Consulting and Communication units, and Big Prize Joint Stock Company to stimulate local tourism demand.
The event is expected to create an important premise in forming an annual local professional marathon for hundreds of participants./.
