(CPV) - The Ba Ria-Vung Tau People’s Committee has approved to pilot the opening of a number of hotels in the province after September 15, but it requires a series of strict regulations on ensuring COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control.

Accordingly, 4 hotels were permitted to conduct the pilot project, including Melia Ho Tram, Ho Tram Strip, Binh Chau Hot Spring and Six Senses Con Dao. The hotels are said to have self-contained service, with a plan ensuring safety in epidemic prevention.

To be able to operate, the hotels’ service staff must meet many requirements such as: injected with 2 doses or at least 1 dose of vaccine for at least 14 days; negative test for SARS-CoV-2 by RT-PCR method within 72 hours; ensuring the “three in place” regulation; and being trained on regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control.

In addition, the hotels must also ensure epidemic prevention and control when receiving and gathering goods. Public and service areas must be installed with cameras with a storage period of at least 14 days. Aisles will be arranged for one-way travel to avoid close contact and barricade areas which are easily accessible from the outside.

In order to stay at the resorts, tourists must have negative SARS-CoV-2 test by RT-PCR within 24 hours upon arrival. If they have 2 doses of vaccination, the last dose must be at least 14 days and not more than 12 months previous. If tourists stay longer than 1 week, they must be checked for RT-PCR periodically along with the regulations during their stay./.
