According to a report of the Kien Giang Department of Tourism, in the first half, Kien Giang effectively implemented the “dual goal” of preventing and controlling the COVID-19 epidemic and developing tourism.

In the second half, Kien Giang focuses on carrying out the tourism growth scenario in line with the developments of the COVID-19 epidemic, in association with local realities.

Accordingly, if the epidemic continues to be complicated, Kien Giang projects to attract about 3.1 million visitors. If the epidemic is well controlled and all people in Phu Quoc are vaccinated against COVID-19 in the third quarter, creating immunity in the community; the southern province strives to attract about 5 million visitors./.
