The recognition aims to realize directions of the Government leader in Decision 1845/QD-TTg on approving the overall scheme of developing Sa Pa National Tourism Area until 2030 and Resolution 04 of the Lao Cai provincial Party Committee on building Sa Pa towards comprehensive development in the 2016-2020 period, with an orientation to 2030, said Mr. Vuong Trinh Quoc, Chairman of the Sa Pa People’s Committee.

The 10 recognized tourism sites include Sa Pa Ancient Rose Garden in Sa Pa ward, Sa Pa Dreamlike Rose Garden in O Quy Ho ward, Old Forest in Hoang Lien National Park, Muong Hoa Valley, Golden Spring – Love Waterfall and Sin Chai village in Hoang Lien commune, Silver Waterfall in O Quy Ho ward, Ham Rong in Sa Pa ward, Ta Phin community tourist site and Ma Tra village tourists site in Sa Pa commune.

These attractive tourist destinations attracted millions of tourists for many years. With this recognition, they are expected to welcome more travelers after Sa Pa basically fully-built accommodations.

In 2019, Sa Pa welcomed more than 3.2 million tourists with a total revenue of VND9.3 trillion./.
