Business in Hepza granted loans of about 4,663 billion VND

On June 29, four commercial banks in Ho Chi Minh City signed new contracts and re-signed credit contracts worth about 4,663 billion VND with 20 enterprises in the Ho Chi Minh City Export Processing and Industrial Zones Authority (Hepza).

The signing took place at a conference connecting banks with businesses, co-organized by Hepza and the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) branch in Ho Chi Minh City in order to seek effective financial solutions to support enterprises in the southern city.

In his speech at the event, Mr. Nguyen Duc Lenh, Deputy Director of the SBV’s branch, said that over the past time, the banking industry has had many solutions to help businesses reduce difficulties, recover and develop their businesses

In 2022, 13 banking brands in HCM City have registered to participate in a credit package to support businesses with a total amount of VND 424.28 trillion with a maximum applicable interest rate of less than 4.5% a year for short-term loans and around 9% a year for medium and long-term loans and other forms of support.

In particular, 13 commercial banks committed to actively seek customers or support existing customers of the bank on the basis of criteria of borrowers under the Bank-Business Connection Program with preferential interest rates as well as other support criteria.

Mr. Hua Quoc Hung, Head of Hepza, said that the city currently has 17 operating zones, including 3 export processing zones and 14 industrial zones./.
