Exports to the Netherlands rise over 1.4 billion USD

Exports to the Netherlands reached 881.6 million USD in July, a year-on-year increase of nearly 39%, according to the latest statistics released by the General Department of Customs.

This figure contributed to bringing the total export turnover of Vietnam’s goods to the Netherlands in the first 7 months of the year to more than 5.95 billion USD, a year-on-year rise of 31.6%, equivalent to more than 1.4 billion USD.

The largest export group is computers, electronic products and components with a turnover of 1.56 billion USD, up 58.9% year on year, accounting for 26.2% of the total turnover in the market.

It is followed by machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts with 1 billion USD, up 34.4%, accounting for 16.91%; footwear, 601.9 million USD, up 22.8%, accounting for 10.1%; textile and garment, nearly 590 million USD, up 47.6%, accounting for 9.91%; and phones and components nearly 446 million USD, accounting for 7.49%, but down 16.57% from the same period last year.

Thus, by the end of July this year, Vietnam has 2 groups of goods exported to the Netherlands with a turnover of more than 1 billion USD, while there was no group reaching the milestone during the same period last year.

By the end of July, Vietnam continued to maintain a large surplus in trade relations with the Netherlands when the trade surplus reached 5.6 billion USD.

The Netherlands is also Vietnam’s largest export market in the European Union (EU) and Europe in general./.
