Hanoi’s budget collection rises nearly 25% in July

(CPV) - Hanoi collected more than 167.679 trillion VND to the state budget, 59.5% of the estimate, up 24.9% over the same period last year, higher than the country’s common growth rate (up 17.6%), according to the Hanoi Tax Department.

Notably, revenue from securities, real estate and banking increased sharply compared to the same period last year.

Specifically, revenue from securities business reached  2.107 trillion VND, up 74%; revenue from real estate and construction posted 5.950 trillion VND, up 37%; and revenue from the banking sector reached 21.611 trillion VND, up 93%.

Nguyen Tien Truong, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Tax Department, said that over the past time, the Department has effectively implemented a group of tax management measures to prevent tax loss and not let businesses take advantage of the policy to evade and owe tax.

Meanwhile, the Department has implemented a plan to closely monitor business and production results of enterprises and taxpayers in the city to closely manage revenue sources.

At the same time, the city’s tax authority also strengthens the implementation of tax management solutions to expand, prevent tax base erosion and transfer profits; remove difficulties for enterprises to maintain, stabilize, expand and develop production and business, and nurture and generate sustainable revenue for the state budget.

He stressed that in the context that businesses have just overcome the difficulties of the COVID-19 pandemic, the City Tax Department is continuing to create the best favorable conditions in administrative procedures for taxpayers./.
