Over 110 markets import Vietnamese pangasius products

Pangasius exports reached more than 1.21 billion USD since the beginning of 2022, up 90% over the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Pangasius export turnover is estimated at 1.4 billion USD, up 90%. The figure is forecast to reach 2.6 billion by the end of 2022.
Currently, 117 markets are importing Vietnam’s pangasius products. Of the total export products, frozen pangasius fillets continued to account for the highest proportion of 88%, while other products such as whole fresh or frozen pangasius accounted for 11%.
Pangasius prices are expected to continue to increase from now until the end of 2022, helping pangasius processors and exporters earn high profits, despite farming costs (fish feed, packaging price) increasing sharply due to fluctuations in domestic gasoline and oil prices and logistics costs from import and export.
Despite facing many new challenges and fluctuations, it is forecast that Vietnam’s pangasius industry will see positive signals until the end of 2022./.
