From the start of the year, pangasius exports reached more than 458,000 tons, worth 931 million USD.

Among the export markets of pangasius products, the sharpest growth was seen in the US, Mexico, and Brazil, while the EU, ASEAN, and the UK suffered decreases compared to the same period last year.

Seafood enterprises in the Mekong Delta said that the average export price of pangasius products over the few months reached about 2.11 USD per kg, a slight increase compared to the first months of 2020.

According to forecasts, Vietnam’s pangasius exports will continue to grow well in the third quarter of 2021, due to increasing world demand and stable supply of pangasius in the Mekong Delta.

Currently, businesses continue to focus on promoting pangasius exports to large and traditional markets such as the US, China, and ASEAN. At the same time, they will promote the exploitation of markets in South America and North America./.
