Entitled “Vietnam’s big success on Diamond Day - 75th anniversary of National Day”, the article reviewed glorious milestones in the heroic 75-year history of the Vietnamese nation, from the event of President Ho Chi Minh reading the Declaration of Independence at historic Ba Dinh Square to the victories in the struggle against French colonialism and American imperialism.

The article emphasized the historical significance of September 2, 1945, the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam - the first people's democratic regime in Southeast Asia, the end of feudalism in Vietnam and the end  of over 80 years under the yoke of colonialism and fascism. The Vietnamese people went from being slaves to being people of an independent country, taking control of their own destiny.

The Communist Party of Vietnam led and won great victories in 1954 and 1975, making Vietnam a peaceful and united country. The next achievement was "Doi Moi" (Renewal), a breakthrough to help the country get out of crisis, maintain political stability and gain great economic, social and external achievements.

According to the article’s author, in 2011 - 2020, Vietnam's macro-economy has been kept stable with inflation controlled and maintained at a low level, creating an environment and driving force for socio-economic development. Despite the negative impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam's GDP in the first 6 months of 2020 still achieved positive growth, up 1.81%.

In terms of foreign affairs, up to now, Vietnam has established strategic and comprehensive partnerships with 30 countries. Currently, Vietnam is playing an increasingly important role on the global political and diplomatic map through its role as President of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, as well as its contribution to peacekeeping missions.

The author also reviewed the milestones in the history of relations between Vietnam and Egypt over the past 57 years, especially President Ho Chi Minh's role in laying the foundation for the bilateral relations when he proposed to open a Vietnamese trade office in Egypt in 1958./.
