Former Russian governor shows impression of Vietnam’s achievements in COVID-19 fight

Sergey Levchenko, First Secretary of the Irkutsk regional division of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (KPRF) and former Governor of Irkutsk term 2015-2019, has expressed his admiration for Vietnam’s achievements in the COVID-19 fight.

“We are impressed with Vietnam’s achievements in the COVID-19 fight,” he said. “You have been combating this pandemic efficiently.”

According to Mr. Levchenko, since the pandemic began in Vietnam in April last year, the country has been making drastic, sound, and smart response decisions, showing that if a country is governed well and if all are determined to win against this pandemic, it will definitely gain success. “We admire your achievements and wish you to continue your success in the COVID-19 fight,” he added.

He also assessed that Vietnam has outperformed even many developed economies in the COVID-19 combat. “The achievements have been brought about by the accomplishments of the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the superiority of socialism,” he went on to say, noting that Vietnam has been moving in the right direction and chosen the sound socialist path of development./.
