The ranking of hotels serving the best breakfast in the world published by TripAdvisor in conjunction with Morning.co.uk is based on the reviews of travellers from around the world.
The five-star hotel in Hanoi’s Hoan Kiem District earned 2,625 positive reviews on U.S. travel site Tripadvisor, ranking behind Malaysia’s Traders Hotel (4,237), Pan Pacific Singapore (3,453), and Thailand’s Chatrium Hotel Riverside Bangkok (4,086).
Mornings.co.uk wrote that "It’s the one thing that can drag you out of a hotel-perfect bed before you’re fully awake: a perfect hotel breakfast. Nobody talks about it, but a first-rate hotel breakfast can be the best part of your holiday." Mornings.co.uk said that other factors in the trip such as the coast, museums, and local cuisine are the things that have been greatly appreciated. Thus, Mornings.co.uk conducted research to identify the international hotel breakfasts that holidaymakers rate after their trip.
The survey is based on Tripadvisor mentions of “best breakfast,” “great breakfast,” and “excellent breakfast” for every hotel in every capital city and every US state on Tripadvisor. Morning.co.uk then mapped the best ones. “When 5,000 people recommend a hotel breakfast, it’s probably worth the journey,” according to Mornings.co.uk.
Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London has the best hotel breakfast in the world, with 5,363 glowing mentions.
Built on the site of “one of the ugliest buildings in the UK,” the Plaza has had something to prove since opening in 2011.
This shows that service factors that sometimes seem unimportant like breakfast at the hotel can also become an advantage to attract tourists, especially for those who love food. Upgrading breakfast service is also something that should be focused on by hotels and accommodation to improve competitiveness./.
