Quang Ninh seizes nearly 1kg of crystal meth

Border guards of the Bac Son Border Post on June 13th detected and arrested Pham Binh Trong, born in 1962, for illegally transporting nearly 1kg of crystal meth into Vietnam in Hai Yen ward, Mong Cai city, Quang Ninh province.
Pham Binh Trong and the exhibit (Photo: VNA) To avoid the detection of authorities, Trong used elastic fabric to wrap the drugs around his body when crossing the border.
He confessed that he was transporting the drugs for a Chinese person named A Luc from China to Hai Ha district, Quang Ninh province, for payment of VND10 million.
Trong had known A Luc since 2007 and still maintains the relationship.
On June 14th, the border guards examined Trong’s home and discovered an additional two nylon bags containing white crystals, which is suspected to be drugs.
The case is under further investigation./.
