HCM city Department of Culture and Sports has new leader

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong, 12th PCC member, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh city Party Committee and Chairman of the city People’s Committee, on May 29th presented the decision appointing Mr. Huynh Thanh Nhan, Secretary of the Thu Duc district Party Committee, Head of the district People’s Committee, as Director of the city Department of Culture and Sports.

In his speech, Chairman Thanh Phong hoped Mr. Thanh Nhan and the board of Directors of the Department of Culture and Sports would make efforts to unite and closely coordinate to fulfil their duty in the upcoming time.
He stressed that Ho Chi Minh city has great potential on culture and it is expected to be built into a big cultural centre of Vietnam as well as in the region.
Mr. Huynh Thanh Nhan, 48, Cu Chi district-origin, has MA degree in politics and BA degrees in historical science, administration and politics./.
