The Standing Board of the Women’s Union of the Mekong Delta province of An Giang has launched the plantation of 2,000 star trees and perfumed trees on the canals: Dit Mun (1, 2km), Tra Suot (1.3km), and Pagoda (1.1km).

The move is part of activities to celebrate the 132nd birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890) and respond to the tree planting program themed “Women cultivate the future - For the sake of ten years, we must plant trees, for the sake of 100 years, we should cultivate people”.
The activity is expected to contribute to changing awareness, attitude, behavior on environment, and environmentally friendly behavior of union members, women and people.
At the same time, it also helps promote the roles and responsibilities of women’s unions at all levels in mobilizing members, women and people to participate in planting trees; caring, managing and protecting green trees in order to preserve the green, clean and beautiful environment./.
