Hanoi develops vocational education to regional and world level

The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued a plan on the implementation of the Hanoi vocational education development strategy to 2025, with a vision to 2045.

The plan clearly outlines 8 main groups of tasks and solutions to fulfill the goals of vocational education development, to meet the diverse needs of the labour market, the people and the increasing requirements of the quantity, structure and quality of skilled human resources, in line with the city's socio-economic development orientation.

According to the plan, by 2025, Hanoi strives to ensure the scale and structure of training industries and occupations for the capital's socio-economic recovery and development; with the training quality of a number of schools approaching the level of countries in the region, a number of professions approaching the level of developed countries in the region and in the world; training 1,150,000 people, an average of about 230,000 people per year; and contributing to increase the rate of trained workers to 75-80%.

By 2030, it will focus on improving the quality and effectiveness of vocational education in order to meet the needs of skilled human resources for a developing country with modern industry; actively participating in the international human resource training market; with some schools approaching the level of countries in the region; contributing to raising the rate of trained workers in the city to 80-85%.

With a vision to 2045, the capital's vocational education will develop, meeting the demand for highly skilled human resources of the capital's labour market; leading the country in vocational education development activities, catching up with ASEAN's advanced level, having outstanding competitiveness in a number of training industries and occupations./.
