People's foreign policy is associated with activities to build cultural life in residential areas, enhance civilized lifestyle, urban beauty, care for social security, gratitude, remember the source of water when drinking, and the military rear.
In addition to the great achievements in socio-economic development and the cause of innovation, the great national unity bloc in Ho Chi Minh City has been constantly strengthened and consolidated; patriotism, national pride and self-esteem continue to be promoted; and the cultural, material and spiritual life of the people has gradually improved.
The implementation of the great solidarity policy is also closely and strictly followed and implemented by the city authorities at all levels, focusing on harmonizing economic development with cultural and social development, implementing social justice, reducing the gap between rich and poor, focusing on disadvantaged areas, rural areas, and suburbs.
From August 2021 to August 2024, the City People's Council has successfully implemented the Project "Improving the quality and effectiveness of the supervision activities of the City People's Council for the 2021 - 2026 term in the context of organizing urban government associated with the task of implementing Resolution 54/NQ-UBTVQH15 of the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly with 238 supervision sessions and 23 contents, four explanation sessions; three question and answer sessions. The explanation sessions, question and answer sessions have promoted the effectiveness and supervisory responsibility of the City People's Council; contributed to stabilizing the local situation, developing the socio-economy, ensuring national defense and security and firmly consolidating the close relationship between the Party Committee, the government and the people of Ho Chi Minh City.
To build a truly clean and strong Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, in recent times, Ho Chi Minh City has always focused on grasping and accurately forecasting the ideological situation, studying public opinion and social mood; effectively resolving pressing issues of the people, sensitive and complicated issues that arise. Resolutely and persistently implementing more effectively the Resolution of the 4th Central Committee, term XI, term XII in conjunction with Directive 05-CT/TW of the Politburo.
Along with that, improving the effectiveness of the fight against corruption and waste, continuing to innovate and improve the quality of inspection, supervision and party discipline work; enhancing the responsibility of Party committees and leaders in proactively detecting, preventing, fighting against corruption and waste, resolutely and effectively directing Decision 1374-QD/TU of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee.
In addition, strongly innovate the leadership methods of Party committees at all levels in the direction of enhancing comprehensive responsibility for local development; strengthen decentralization and delegation of authority to Party committees and Party organizations in accordance with regulations; improve the quality and effectiveness of grassroots work, well implement the questioning regulations within the Party; and thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the Party's viewpoint of unified leadership of personnel work and direct management of the staff. Innovate the work of evaluating cadres, civil servants and public employees; and improve the effectiveness of the work of selecting and promoting leaders and managers in the direction of public and transparent examinations.
The city has paid special attention and further strengthen the proportion of female leaders and Party committees, young cadres, cadres from workers' backgrounds; innovate and improve the effectiveness of mass mobilization work, strengthen the close connection between Party committees and the People; improve the quality of activities of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels; Well implement the Party and State's ethnic and religious policies; and consolidate and strengthen the great national unity bloc./.
